Dr Daisy Gurney United Arab Emirates

Before joining Orthosports Medical Center, Daisy worked as a senior musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapist in a large National Health Service teaching hospital in the UK. She also worked trained as a sports injury physiotherapist in an exclusive gymnasium in London, and served as a personal physiotherapist to a Rugby Club playing national tournaments – also in London. Daisy is a a BSc (hons) Chartered Physiotherapist and is experienced in treating all manners of specialist pediatric, orthopedic and hydrotherapy patients – as well as amateur through professional athletes. She began working at Orthosports Medical Center in 2007. She has since joined various teams of physiotherapists, covering large-scale Dubai sporting events including the Rugby Sevens, and Dubai Marathon and 24-hour Le Mans Classic Car Race. She keeps up with current best practice with post-graduate studies including Stott Pilates, acupuncture, dry needling, and management of pelvic and sacroiliac dysfunction, manipulations and anterior knee pain. Daisy’s main areas of clinical interest are pelvic pain, post-surgical ACL rehabilitation, spinal pain, sports injuries management, and acupuncture for pain relief.
